Part Time Practice Accountant – About The Role

This is a broad practice role with responsibility for managing your own portfolio of clients, delivering a mixture of statutory accounts, corporate tax, and personal tax work. You’ll work directly with business owners, providing practical support across a range of accounting and tax matters while ensuring deadlines are met. The role offers plenty of variety and is well suited to someone who enjoys building long term client relationships and taking ownership of their workload.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage your own portfolio of clients
  • Prepare statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Prepare corporation tax and personal tax returns
  • Deal directly with client queries and provide day to day advice
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships

 

The successful Practice Accountant will have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Previous UK accountancy practice experience
  • Strong experience preparing statutory accounts
  • Experience preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
  • Good understanding of FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Experience using CCH would be highly advantageous
  • Experience with QuickBooks would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to manage your own workload independently
  • Full right to work in the UK
