Howett Thorpe has always recruited for Public Practice but created a separate division in 2007 as a response to the volume of work they undertake in this area.
Recruiting solely for Accountancy Practices – from Independent Firms to the Top Tier and Big Four in locations including Crawley, Guildford, Reading and Southampton, Basingstoke, Brighton, Oxford and London the team have many years experience in this field.
We work with candidates throughout their careers from graduate and trainee to Director and Partner level, across service lines including Corporate Recovery & Insolvency, Corporate Finance, Corporate and Personal Tax, VAT, Book Keeping & Accounts and of course, Audit (both Internal and External).
Unlike many other agencies we neither head hunt nor use third party head hunt information.
Tax
We are able to offer Commerical, Legal and Public Practice clients and candidates in-depth knowledge of Personal, Corporate and Indirect Tax recruitment.
We offer recruitment advice and solutions for all levels of tax roles from Graduate,Trainee and ATT studiers, through ATT, CTA and ACA qualifieds to Senior Manager and Partner.
Risk & Internal Audit
Our most recent division is responsible for Internal Audit, Internal Control, Risk, Sox (Sarbanes Oxley) and Compliance roles.
We offer support to both clients and candidates at all levels from Graduate to Senior Manager, including ACA, ACCA , AII and CIPFA qualified candidates and vacancies.
Public Sector
Our ethical approach to recruitment is well aligned to the recruitment processes within Not for Profit and Public Services organisations including Charities, Housing Associations, Local Government, Trade Associations, Education and Health sectors.
