Howett Thorpe have always recruited for Public Practice but created a separate division in 2007 as a response to the volume of work they undertake in this area.
Recruiting solely for Accountancy Practices – from Independent Firms to the Top Tier and Big Four in locations including Crawley, Guildford, Reading and Southampton, Basingstoke, Brighton, Oxford and London the team have many years experience in this field.
We work with candidates throughout their careers from graduate and trainee to Director and Partner level, across service lines including Corporate Recovery & Insolvency, Corporate Finance, and Bookkeeping & Accounts and of course, Audit (both Internal and External).

At Howett Thorpe we offer a number of ways in which we can pay our candidates:
· Limited Company Basis – This is working through your own or a limited company umbrella. You are therefore responsible for your own PAYE and will invoice Howett Thorpe at the agreed rate on a fortnightly basis.
· PAYE – Howett Thorpe are responsible for your PAYE and will pay on a fortnightly basis
· Contract – This is where a client will employ you on a contractual basis for a certain period of time and pay you directly.
