No matter how you look at them the ACCA December results don’t look good! Many students must have hoped the days of the 28 per cent pass rate was behind them.
True, the first sitting of the new ACCA qualification may have attracted a record number of students and won praise from employers and tuition providers [the ACCA’s words], but there is no way to hide the fact that this was a real mixed bag of results. OK, 81 per cent of F1 sitters passed, but the optional pass rates looked to have imploded. Three of the final level papers were 33 per cent or below. In effect two out of every three student are now failing the final level of competence.
