Our client is seeking experienced Tax Professionals (A Senior and a Manager) to join their team. It is anticipated you will be a professional and articulate individual, seeking to develop your career. A professional qualification is not essential but a strong background in personal tax is required. Some knowledge of corporate and trust tax would be useful but it is not an essential requirement for the role.
You will be able to demonstrate an excellent knowledge of tax legislation and of applying this knowledge to solve clients’ tax problems.
You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience of the UK tax treatment of non-residents would be useful but training would be given.
You will be computer literate with a practical knowledge of Word and Excel. Familiarity with IRIS software would also be an advantage.
The client base covers high net wealth individuals, owner managed businesses, Plc executives and non-resident landlords. A proportion of the portfolio will be non-resident clients - some overseas nationals and some UK nationals working overseas. Our client is seeking a Portfolio Manager due to retirement and a Senior due to the continuing increase in their client base.
Control of a portfolio of private clients. Work will involve the preparation of tax returns & letting accounts, and all related advisory and tax planning matters.
Monitoring time costs in relation to fee budgets and the control of work in progress on their clients.
Developing professional relationships with clients and within the firm.
Obtaining computer skills relevant to the software packages used in the firm.
Working with the partners and the senior manager to ensure the efficient running of the department.
The Portfolio Manager will also control and review work undertaken by junior staff and take on special assignments as required
