Interim Head of Financial Management

Salary: circa £350 per day

About You

As a hands-on individual you will ideally have previous experience of working within the Public Sector and it is desirable that this be within the NHS or health sector.

About The Role

Responsible for the effective operation of the Financial Management department and for all activities undertaken by Financial Management staff, in line with the Trust Strategy and NHS Executive Directives, encompassing all activities associated with:

  • Preparation of a balanced annual Trust budget;
  • Production of regular income and expenditure statements;
  • Monthly, year to date and forecast information for budget managers;
  • Monthly reporting of Trust performance to the Director of Finance and the Trust Board;
  • Production of Annual Plan;
  • Annual production of reference costs consistent with national costing guidance and within the national timetable;
  • Annual production of programme budgeting information to PCTs;
  • Finance training programmes for non finance managers.
