Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, 6-8 Month Fixed Term Contract

About You

You will a fully qualified accountant - ACCA, CIMA or ACA, or overseas equivalent.  You will be available to start a new contract at relatively short notice.

You will be highly commercial and will be fully conversant with the finance drivers for sales and marketing. You will be a strong communicator used to liaising with all levels of finance and non finance professionals based both in the UK and overseas.

You should have a strong analytical background and extensive experience of providing budgeting and forecasting support to a large international business. Ideally you will have experience of managing staff and leading a small FP&A team.

You should have strong IT skills including experience of using a system such as SAP or Oracle and advanced Excel skills.

About The Role

This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity. It will manage a member of staff and will head up the FP&A area.

Duties may include but may not be limited:

·         Managing and supporting 1-2 direct reports within the FP&A team

·         Management and responsibility for the budgeting process

·         Working on the strategic plan

·         Attending weekly, monthly and quarterly management meetings and presenting latest financials to the senior management team

·         Providing ad hoc decision support to the MD

·         Managing month end and monthly forecasting process

·         Responsibility for overall finance decisions with respect to month end, monthly forecasting and budgeting

·         Liaising with Managing Director, Sales Director and Logistics Director to establish weekly sales forecast and attending associated conference calls

·         Working with the international finance team to ensure deadlines are met and any ad hoc analysis is completed

·         Ad hoc project work as necessary
