About The Role 

• Review current processes and procedures for the finance department and implement changes where necessary to ensure the accuracy and timescale of reporting are adhered to.
• Review also current systems in place and make any additional changes as required
• Take ownership of the finance function
• Staff Management, including appraisals and providing ongoing training and support
• Provide commercial, profit-led leadership to the Managing Director.
• Supervision of the preparation of financial information including presentation of monthly management information to the Managing Director
• Flash reporting
• Month end reporting – to agreed timescales
• Ensuring the integrity of the figures reported
• Preparation and presentation of annual budgets to the Managing Director
• Evaluation of contract terms including reviewing these, ensuring their profitability and ensuring that their payment terms are adhered to
• Ensuring that payments of contracts and services provided are accounted for accurately for the purposes of forecasting and cashflow
• Dealing with internal and external auditors –dealing with any points raised by them in an effective and efficient manner
