The successful candidate will have previous Credit Control and experience, with good I.T skills.
* manage the outstanding sales balances falling due, contact customers to confirm payments before the balances become overdue
* work with a minimum of supervision
* anticipate developments, and identify accounts that will require special attention
* handle disputed accounts and negotiate to bring payment into line with terms
* undertake complex reconciliations, and compile documentation for legal action
* maintain accurate measurement and performance statistics
* obtain sufficient information to assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers
* work within guidelines and report to the Financial Controller
* keep a record of all communication with the customer, to a standard which could be used for court proceedings.
