  • Professionally qualified (ACA, CA, ACCA) or awaiting final results
  • Energetic and enthusiastic

About The Role

To work as part of the team, effectively providing a hands on compliance and/or advisory role that meets or exceeds client expectations and supports the partner/manager team.

  • takes an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
  • prepares the audit plan and budget for review
  • ensures planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
  • prepares or reviews workpapers and drafts of the financial statements
  • delegates work to other members of the audit team, ensuring assistants understand their responsibilities and have received appropriate on-the-job training/coaching
  • produces commercial management reports, specifically drafting sections of the report to management
  • identifies and discusses issues with clients
  • controls the audit in relation to timescales, budgets and risk management procedures
  • remains updated on changes to clients' business
  • is aware of the wide range of Grant Thornton services and spots opportunities to potentially sell those services to clients
  • is actively involved in office marketing events when appropriate and is an 'ambassador' of the firm
