It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified. You must be confident, articulate and able to demonstrate good post qualification experience. You must also be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and develop a team. You will be able to identify and understand technical problems effectively in order to develop practical solutions.
You must also be highly organised in order to develop good client relations and develop opportunities with clients. You must have an enquiring mind in order to build upon your awareness of client objectives and the ability to relay this awareness to other members of the team. You should have good IT skills, be able to manage budgets, and possess the necessary skills to form balanced judgements based on evidence. Confidence and experience are both key in fulfilling this role effectively.
As the Manager you will be expected to take responsibility for the management of a portfolio of clients, and liaising with Partners as and when requested. You will liaise with a variety of clients and teams across the firm, building and establishing good relations and lines of communication. You will also take responsibility for ensuring that timetables and budgetary targets, as well as individual team targets, are met on a monthly basis.

Due to the varied nature of this role you may also be expected to undertake and assist in practice development, by attending functions or visiting clients as and when required.
