As Management Reporting Analyst you will have a strong academic background, with a 2: 1 or above Degree and good A level results. You will be expected to demonstrate experience of working within an accounting or other analytical role. In addition, you will be a qualified or nearly qualified CIMA accountant. Excellent data manipulation and modelling skills are essential; along with a good working knowledge of Excel and exceptional commercial awareness. Some experience or working knowledge of Access would also be advantageous.
This role involves working within the Controlling team and reporting to the Controller. The Management Reporting Analyst will be responsible for a number of areas of controlling activity, primarily participating in the preparation of management reporting, analysis and involvement in planning activities.
The role holder will be expected to have a desire to become involved in and where possible improve a wide variety of activities within the Controlling department. The role holder will also have a desire to learn about and understand the business drivers and risks of a financial services business.
* Preparing, analysing and distributing on a timely and accurate basis a variety of reports within the Controlling function;
* Continually develop and improve management reporting;
* Resolving ad hoc questions and requests for analysis from management, both within and outside the Finance department;
* Supporting the overseas entity and internal management reporting processes;
* Preparation of schedules and analysis supporting the monthly reporting process for submission and for internal management reporting
* Supporting the other members of the Controlling function as required;
* Provision of analytical support to management and other members of the Finance team as required;
* Ad hoc data modelling and analysis as required; and
* Provision of advice and guidance to colleagues and internal customers on Controlling issues, including accounting requirements, systems and processes.
