It is anticipated that the successful will have:
Experience of working in an accounting practice and managing a portfolio of clients (knowledge and experience of accounts, income tax, corporate tax, VAT and payroll).
Knowledge of Sage line 50, QuickBooks, SAPA, Alpha Tax would be an advantage, although not necessary, as training will be provided.
Good inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both team memebers and clients.
Working within a growing firm, and reporting directly to Managers and Partners your responsibilities will include:
Assisting the managers to develop and supervise junior members of staff within the department.
Assist the managers with marketing initiatives to develop and grow the department.
Responsible for a portfolio of smaller clients.
Duties will include:
Preparing accounts, reports, proposals etc for clients, which comply with legal requirements and the firm’s internal standards.
Preparing tax returns, filing the same with the Revenue and liaising with clients generally, and liaising with other tax specialists in the firm as necessary.
Maintaining regular communication with all clients and related parties, and ensure a high quality service is delivered to clients.
Gaining new clients by maintaining good working relationships with local banks (Small business managers) and other professional contacts.
