Greg Thorpe

Greg started his career in recruitment in 1985, and managed the Basingstoke, Woking and the flagship Guildford offices of Accountancy personnel before founding Howett Thorpe in 1988. Greg is a high profile member of both the local business community and the recruitment world, but still retains a ‘hands on’ approach to his business.

Caterina Glenn

Caterina joined Howett Thorpe in 2002 and is responsible for the management and development of the Part Qualified/Accountancy Support and Contract, Interim and Temporary Teams. With over 13 years financial recruitment experience, gained within Non for Profit and Commerce sectors, Caterina personally specialises in Qualified and Senior Finance Interims.

Julia James

Julia James

Having started her career in finance, Julia joined Howett Thorpe 10 years ago and is currently responsible for the Senior Finance & Executive Division. She specialises in qualified financial recruitment, retained assignments and advertising campaigns including ‘Pay per Click’ and Institute Mailings as well as more traditional On and Off Line options.

Joanne Jones

Joanne joined Howett Thorpe in 2004, having previously spent 4 years working within generalist recruitment. At Howett Thorpe Joanne is responsible for the Finance Support Division covering recruitment from Purchase ledger, Payroll, Credit Control and Book Keepers upto part qualified levels.  During her career at Howett Thorpe Joanne has successfully managed both temporary and permanent markets within her division.

Adam Pearce

Adam joined Howett Thorpe in 2006 and has dealt with financial recruitment in the Surrey and Hampshire regions for over 12 years.  Adam is responsible for permanent recruitment at Howett Thorpe focusing specifically at the Part Qualified and Newly qualified market.Adam's has an excellent reputation in the area for approach to clients and candidates is detailed and professional providing them with a seamless service by applying the depth of knowledge that he has within this sector.

Nick Fuller

Nick joins Howett Thorpe having worked for over 10 years with accountancy and finance specialists Badenoch & Clark. During this time Nick has successfully recruited into the finance sector and dealt predominantly with the temporary and contract market. As a manager of staff across three offices; London, Croydon and Southampton, Nick has managed numerous national accounts including leading a number of campaigns and has recruited for organisations in both the public and private sectors. Nick now joins Howett Thorpe and brings his recruitment expertise to businesses in the Surrey, Middlesex and Sussex areas, dealing with all levels of accountancy staff recruitment on a temporary and contract basis.

Laura Underhill

Laura joins Howett Thorpe with six years experience within the recruitment industry.  She has worked predominantly within the commercial sector, managing both permanent and temporary requirements.  Laura also has considerable experience of working within Recruitment Process Outsourcing within which she has managed graduate recruitment and large volume recruitment campaigns within both the public and private sectors.  Working within both contingent recruitment and RPO, Laura has an excellent understanding of the entire recruitment cycle from the perspective of both an employer and a recruiter and places a great deal of importance in finding the right match the first time. Laura is responsible for the Finance Support Division covering recruitment from Purchase ledger, Payroll, Credit Control and Book Keepers upto part qualified levels
